Client Spotlight: City of Arcola's Raggedy Ann Rally '25

A Celebration of Friendship, Healing & Heartfelt Nostalgia

Every year in the heart of Arcola, Illinois, something magical happens.

What started as a local idea between two passionate women—Doris Canales and Annette Ferguson—has grown into a nationally beloved gathering that brings together fans of all ages to celebrate the iconic Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls.

A Home for Collectors Near & Far

From Cincinnati to Colorado, New York to Texas, fans have made Arcola a must-visit destination—some arriving days before the official kickoff just to soak in the charm.

“I’ve never seen so much of her in one place at one time... it’s a bunch of people from all over the world who love Raggedy Ann.”

And at the heart of it all? A simple wooden bench—a tribute and landmark that’s become a selfie spot, a memory maker, and a magnet for Raggedy lovers.

“That bench lured every collector... some come early just to sit with her before the weekend even starts.”

More Than a Doll—A Symbol of Love & Healing

What keeps people coming back isn’t just nostalgia—it’s the spirit Raggedy Ann represents. Her timeless smile, her message of kindness and love, and the way she connects people from all walks of life.

“Her whole thing is love, friendship, and healing. For many of us, it’s about reconnecting with the child inside.”

A Community Worth Celebrating

The City of Arcola has embraced this tradition fully—welcoming visitors, supporting the event, and making it a cornerstone of their tourism story.

As one attendee shared,

“There’s such commitment to this event—and real joy. Everyone’s so kind and supportive of each other. It’s just infectious.”

We couldn’t agree more.

At Cass Concepts, we were honored to capture the smiles, hugs, laughter, and quiet moments of reflection that make this event so special.
