Cass Concepts in the Community: Celebrating Arcola’s Legacy at the Broomcorn Festival

Each year, the Broomcorn Festival transforms the heart of Arcola, Illinois, into a vibrant celebration of heritage, creativity, and small-town pride. Steeped in tradition and brimming with personality, the festival pays tribute to Arcola’s rich history as the Broomcorn Capital of the World—and we were honored to help share that story.

This year, Cass Concepts partnered with the City of Arcola to capture the energy and excitement of the Broomcorn Festival. From lively parades to artisan markets and community activities, our team was on-site to document the weekend through photos, video, and social storytelling—helping increase visibility for one of Central Illinois’ most unique and beloved events.

At the heart of it all is Kevin Monaghan, a proud Arcolian and a key figure behind the festival’s success. In addition to helping lead the event, Kevin is also a member of the world-famous Lawn Rangers—a legendary, parade-loving group that brings together men from across the U.S. (and beyond!) to march proudly with lawnmowers and brooms in hand. Their quirky charm and dedication to Arcola make them a highlight of the Broomcorn Parade each year.
